Yeah what ever happened to Kmart? That used to be the store to shop in. Kmart was more popular than Target when I was a kid. Living here in Chicago every Kmart just about has closed and gone out of business. I think that the only Kmart surviving for now is the one that in the Norridge Area of Chicago on Harlem & Forest preserve. Even Sears was better than Bestbuy. They had electronics and refrigerators, washers and dryers, etc. Kmart was the same way. Grocery store, toys, grills, radio systems for houses and cars, washers and dryers, refrigerators, clothes, jewelry, food court, lay-a-way, etc. Remember that if you could afford an item you could pay some money down on it now and pay the rest later. They had lay-a-way. But all good things must come to an end. Maybe Kmart couldn’t keep up with its competitors because most of these stores had online shopping. But if I remember correctly I think Kmart at one point had online shopping as well. Because you could do wedding and bridal shower registry.

So peace
