Yo this is crazy. What in the world our we putting in our bodies. I feel ya KevonStage

Ramen noodles is my go to thing. I remember when mom and dad needed to grow grocery shopping and there was nothing in the house to eat at the moment. I would have me a pack of beef Ramen. If I was kind of hungry but not so much I would eat a pack of Ramen. I remember ever since my sister Denise introduced me to the Ramen in a cup booooooooooooyyyyyyyyyyy. Let me tell you,

But who would of thought that many years later I would be seeing a guy fix his broken sink with Ramen.

What’s that? A masterpiece you say?

This is inspiring you didn’t allow your outcome or your circumstance to determine your future. You kept going inspite of it all.

Life can throw a lot of curveballs in our path and we may not always like them.

Maybe we lose a parent or a family member or a good relative or a good friend.

Or perhaps we don’t get into that Ivy League School and have to settle for a different school.

Or perhaps we don’t land that promotion that we are all set on getting.

Or even maybe our life just doesn’t go as planned when you have a near death experience.

But if we push through them then there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Maybe losing a parent or a loved one can bring someone into the equation whom you get to love and enjoy being around.

Maybe that school fits your values stronger and is better aligned with your career goals.

You can be broken, but still have immense value…

life is not over you can move on. There’s so much ahead. So much in store for you. You can always keep going. Where there is a will there is a way.

Forty Something Life As We Know It

As a Forty Plusser I had my fair shares of wicked curveballs in life.

For too long in my life I have tried to ignore things that needed fixing and attention.  I tried to live a happy go lucky life.  I lived a life of total pretence.  I did not want people to notice how broken I was inside.  I was ashamed to let down my guard.  I was too afraid to drop the mask!!!  I was afraid to show my true feelings.  To me, these ghosts of my past was too embarrassing to share with anyone!

To me, healing was a 360 degrees U-turn.  I also know that I won’t be my old self EVER.  My old self had evaporated in the air.  My old self is gone forever. But that’s okay!!! I have reached a point in my life where I just couldn’t care less! I tend to practise more selflove.  I am stronger.  I am more confident.  I don’t have…

You came this far to come this far??

Pride is at the center of all that we say and do. The ignorance that we have on a particular matter grants passage to our fear to play a motivating factor in us tapping out of what we have been training mentally, physically and emotionally for. All because we didn’t expect this process. This lesson to require so much from us just to be granted the access to obtain that which we want and desire. There’s levels to this.

I find it very amazing that as people we want to accomplish things in our life. We want what is appealing to the eyes and to the touch. We love to want what is desirable. We want and want. Where we fall short is not applying the work for that which we desire to have. You know the Bible scripture says that faith without works is dead. Amen, because you can hope for whatever it is that you want but ultimately you have to do the action in order for you to be granted that which you want.

I’m amazed because as people we become paralyzed at the notion that what we want will require our all. It’s funny because we can tell others that to whom much is given, much is required. But when it comes to us we believe that there should be a acception to the rule.

This makes me wonder is it laziness or fear that we allow to consume us in our defining moments of going after what is ours?

I say it’s fear, but I don’t want to give so much credit to a word that later on will enter into a person’s mentality and the actions of what one percieve will be manifested. I want to address what are you afraid of? You were not afraid to want. You were not afraid to ask. Why be afraid to answer the call of how bad do you want it? That’s your time to shine superstar.

See we love to be afraid of what we don’t know. We believe that its going to be extremely hard and difficult to complete. We believe that this unknowing is the boogyman and it’s not. It’s just simply you don’t know. You’re right. That’s only because you have never experienced another level before. You haven’t even started why are you afraid of the finish line? A runner don’t show up to the race worried or concerned with the end and the gun haven’t went off to begin the race. They simply stay locked in and focus themselves on where they currently are so they can run a strong race.

I find it amazing when you teach someone who has fear a new concept, idea, sport anything that they have never tried but is very interested in accomplishing. You deal more with a person’s ego, pride, outlook on life, insecurities, priorities and motives. It’s like that particular person is so concerned with their fear that they have yet to realized that fear is the less of their worries. Having a made up mind, discipline, focus and establishing a firm, sturdy foundation should be your concern.

Our fear enables us to move from situation to situation trying to find comfort. We have a Goldie locks and the three bears mentality. We won’t commit to putting our all into something until that which we want, desire to have proves to us that it won’t hurt us. It won’t scare us but bring comfort. Or to better say “feels just right.” Not having stability but comfort is the focus. Why is that? I don’t know about you but being a grown young man I care more about stability than comfort. I need to establish a sturdy and a firm foundation or it will crumble and fall apart, giving no support. But why is that? Well, what I have paid attention to is that in moments of teaching someone. Out pouring knowledge and understanding that turns into wisdom for them. They are battling with their outlook on life. Most people we come across and meet have a unrealistic way of looking and handling life. I’m guilty of it. I will be the first to raise my hand and admit it and I’m sure that I’m not alone some of you have dealt with that as well. Thank God that we have matured out of it. In some areas of our life. But that’s okay we’re striving.

See you’re teaching them reality they are listening only enough to find a scapegoat. They are trying to find ways of how to get what they want without the sacrifice that it takes to ultimately reach that finish line and not just reach it but earn it. While you’re teaching them they are not understanding that you’re being this hard on them so you can teach them how to get what they want and at the same time you are teaching them how to maintain what they will soon have. See you can’t go from step 1 to 10 and miss 2 thru 9. You’ll loss everything and have to return back to square one and relearn everything that you missed the first time around. That will be unpleasant, you won’t like that.

What I have noticed the most is people won’t allow themselves to evolve, change, be taught a new way, allow themselves to be challenged because they are not in control. A person will only succeed if the situation is the right situation for them. In other words unless they create a obstacle or a problem that they can solve and have the answer to they won’t allow themselves to be taught. I observe and notice that their world becomes shaken. Their world’s view and perspective gets challenged and tested. They don’t know what to do. Nor do they have an answer. This is because when people want to learn how to obtain what it is that they desire they enter into the lesson with a ideal of how they think the lesson will go. They view the lesson will go in their favor without any change and growth.

You know I titled this “about fear” and I’m almost toward the end of this blog post and I realized that pride is the granddaddy of all sin, destruction, comes before the fall. Pride is at the center. It is the driving force to so much of “the reasons why we do the things that we do.” There is this immature way of thinking that we have. We believe that we don’t have to change in order to obtain what we want. That old way won’t grant you access to your new level. In whatever you are trying to pursue in life. You got to let go of the old way of thinking, doing, believing, talking and walking to grab hold of the new.

People are ignorant (not knowing) to having their pride and ego being checked before they even gain access to what they want. And you know I feel it because I was once was that same way. I had no idea that being put in my proper place was apart of the journey, the learning process. I though that I would just be taught and I would go out and obtain what I wanted. No, your whole identity and personality gets broken down. Because I found out that you have to match what it is that you want.

You have to be mentally prepared to handle the responsibilities of that which you want and desire. To whom much is given, much is required right? How can you live up to the responsibilities of that which you want and desire and all you are is mentality there just to get what you want. Instead, you need to know what to do with it.

I don’t know about you but I been thru too much and come too far to allow my false sense of reality to get the best of me so I can’t get and keep what is mine. That pride that has the ability to mask itself as ego, ignorance, and fear can’t win it has to go. I have to be a student always and listen to the master using anyone and anything to teach me life thru what I want and desire. Because you see we go in just wanting stuff not taking into account that the stuff we want is a manifestation of who we are and what’s inside of us. So, yeah you’re going to get your stuff alright. But before you are granted access you will first be shown who you are/what’s inside of you and how it’s going to come out. Because before you can be granted your physical stuff. Your inner, spiritually stuff has to manifest, be pulled out so you can be well prepared to handle it.

I’ll leave off by saying this there’s is a purpose for everything. There is a reason why we all go thru a process to obtain what we want. We don’t just get blessed with stuff and then, THE END. No, what is it that you want. What you desire. How will it help others? How will it benefit and be of a service in this world? What is your why?

What you allow yourself to learn today can be applied to today, tomorrow and years to come.

Y’all stay blessed

Why Do We Doubt?

James 1:1-8

How would you currently characterize your faith? Is it up one day, down the next? The short book of James contains practical advice for those whose faith fluctuates because of difficult circumstances. When we start doubting God and His Word, we’re driven and tossed about like the surf of the sea.

James says a double-minded man is unstable in all his ways and should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. To be double-minded is to go back and forth in our thinking. We may begin with strong confidence in God, but as time goes by and the difficult situation continues, we may start to doubt that the Lord will do what He’s promised.

Doubting and questioning are not necessarily the same thing. Questioning is seeking to gain further information in order to better understand what God has said. Doubting, on the other hand, involves believing what…
